The Lee's Summit Achievers Kiwanis Club is
now meeting at The Carlyle, 1098 Independence Ave (at Tudor Road) on the 1st and
3rd Wednesdays at 7:15 am.

The Warrensburg Kiwanis Club's new meeting
day is Tuesday at 6 pm, and new location is: Mazzio's Italian Eatery, 204
E. Young (Business 50 Highway), Warrensburg, 660-422-7200.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE
DIVISION 4 COUNCIL MEETING JULY 17, 2006 |

Lt Governor Dan Sturdevant announced that
Kiwanis International has established a membership goal of 1,000,000 members by
2015. The Iodine Deficiency Disorder donations from Kiwanis
worldwide is now $85,000,000.

Healthy Lifestyles for Children is the
MISSOURI-ARKANSAS district initiative.

KEY LEADER PROGRAM
- Lt. Governor Select Mary Ann Collier has been named the state coordinator
for this program. Mary Ann is encouraging each club to sponsor one youth at a
cost of $150.00 plus transportation, if you choose to pay the additional. The
Missouri Key Leader weekend will be October 20-22 in Bourbon, MO. 50 youth
are needed in order for the weekend to be a success. Target age is 8th
graders on up through high schoolers. Mary Ann requested donations of
snacks, bottled water, etc. to defray costs. Please contact Mary Ann
(660-429-1489) if your club is willing to make a donation.

Kudos to Independence
and Downtown Kansas City clubs for adding
new members.
-
Division IV will make a donation of $60 to the
Columbia, MO Food Bank for their backpack
program.
-
The next meeting will be September 18th. Division
Leadership banners will be exchanged then.

KIWANIANS
FOR KATRINA's CHILDREN |
|
A Grant of $17,595
has been issued to the K-Bar-B Youth ranch for abused teenagers.
The grant will be used to help rebuild a badly
needed residence hall so the camp can once again serve children.

Division 3 and Kansas Division 9 to make this contribution possible.
