Child Life Dept, Children's Mercy Hospital Child Life Department - Child Life specialists strive to reduce the stress and anxiety accompanying hospitalization and other aspects of health care.  Child Life Specialists prepare children for medical tests and procedures by using dolls, pictures and words to help children understand their medical experiences.
