The Metro Kansas City Kiwanis Council is organizing the drive for agencies serving families and children in Cass, Carroll, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray Counties in Missouri, and Johnson and Miami Counties in Kansas. The Council is aware of the agencies’ critical need for new, daily care items for babies of the families they are serving. Many times, the agencies have no specific funding for items such as disposable diapers and formula.
The Council urges Kansas City area residents to come to their local stores on May 12 and purchase items for giving while shopping or drop off other donations. Kiwanians and agency representatives at the stores will have lists of needed items, plus information on the benefiting agencies.
